The nice ones, which live in a high cabinet and come out maybe four times a year, and the everyday ones, which are chipped.\n\nThen there is the outdoor problem. Glass is not welcome at a pool or anywhere there are bare feet and concrete.\n\nMetal goblets are one answer. The rose gold engraved stainless steel wine goblets in this set are steel all the way through, bowl, stem and base, and the listing mentions both indoor gatherings and outdoor events.\n\nHow steel goblets differ from glass\n\nSteel differs from glass in a few plain ways, and it is worth knowing them before you buy.\n\nYou cannot see the wine through the side. The goblet is opaque, so the color of the drink only shows from above.\n\nIt is not glass. The listing calls these goblets unbreakable. Metal can still dent or scratch, so that word is best read as \"will not shatter\".\n\nIt is not insulated. Nothing in the listing says the goblets are double-walled or keep a drink cold.\n\nIt carries pattern. The baroque scrollwork on these goblets is etched into the metal surface of the bowl.\n\nWhat the engraving does for you\n\nOn these goblets the etching covers the bowl only.\n\nThe photos show scrolls and leaf shapes, small crowns near the rim and a fleur-de-lis motif lower down. The stem and the round base are plain polished metal, and polished metal shows fingerprints.\n\nThe baroque style is ornate, and it is a historic pattern. The color is listed as rose gold.\n\nOne thing to be clear on. This design is fixed. It cannot be changed, and no engraving service is offered. If you want a name or a date, this is not the set for that.\n\nWho this set suits\n\nCouples and gift buyers. Two goblets plus a matching bottle stopper in a gift box suits a couple. The listing suggests a wedding present or a 25th anniversary wine glass gift.\n\nPeople who entertain outside. The listing mentions outdoor events, and one of its photos shows the goblets beside a pool.\n\nTravelers. The listing gives travel as the recommended use. If you want metal wine goblets for camping, pack each one in a dish towel and mind the long stems.\n\nAnyone tired of replacing glasses. These are steel, not glass.\n\nChoosing the right size and shape\n\nCapacity is the first thing to check, and this set lists 17 fluid ounces per goblet.\n\nIf you prefer a small glass, a 17 ounce goblet may feel large. If you want the same goblet for wine and for iced drinks, the size helps.\n\nShape is the second thing. These are stemmed goblets with a round base, and the size photo shows them at 8.26 inches tall. The listing data calls the shape cylindrical, which does not match the photos.\n\nThe diameter of the bowl and the base are not listed, so we have not added them.\n\nCaring for an engraved metal finish\n\nThe care routine is short.\n\nWash by hand in warm water with ordinary dish soap and a soft cloth or sponge. One of the listing photos marks the set as hand wash only.\n\nDry right away with a clean towel so water spots do not form on the polished finish.\n\nKeep abrasives away. Steel wool, scouring pads and powdered cleansers can scratch a polished colored finish.\n\nStore the goblets upright and side by side. The gift box works as storage if you only use them occasionally.\n\nRinse and dry the bottle stopper after each use.\n\nWhat this set is not\n\nIt is worth saying what this set is not, so there are no surprises.\n\nIt is not described as insulated. Names and dates cannot be added, so the design you see is the design you get. The listing does not give the weight or the diameter, and we will not guess at numbers we do not have.\n\nAnd it is metal, so it feels different from glass in the hand and at the lip.\n\nThe short version\n\nTwo rose gold stainless steel goblets with baroque etching around each bowl, 17 fluid ounces each, on tall stems, with a matching bottle stopper and a gift box. Sold exactly as pictured, and no engraving service is offered.\n\nBuy them if you want a matching metal pair for a couple. Hand wash, dry promptly and keep the scourers away.", "llm_summary": "A two-piece wine goblet set made of stainless steel in a rose gold color, with a baroque pattern etched around each bowl.
